Does inspirational hypnosis exist? No question about it!
For years I have been on a quest to improve myself and my life. I always wanted to feel better but until I was about 30 years old I never knew it was up to me for that to happen.
I was angry, depressed and just doing what I thought others expected of me and I figured change was just going to happen – IF it was going to happen at all. My “luck” would change, or I’d hit the lottery or this, that or the other thing would happen and everything would finally be better. But it just doesn’t work that way.
Once I learned it was up to me to take personal responsibility for my life regardless of my past, upbringing, parents, teachers, habits and such – if I started to replace all the negativity that was already in my head with more useful information those seeds would get a chance to grow and I could shift the direction of my life.
And so can you.
I started smoking when I was 14 years old and though I “quit” many times, I finally stopped April 22, 2005 — 24 years after I started. 2+ packs of cigarettes a day for over twenty years. What a shame.
How many of us have done things that don’t serve us for a long time? Can you imagine having all that time to spend on something you’d rather be doing? The good news is on April 22, 2005 I have been banking that time, money and years of abuse on my health — not literally, but I have the opportunity to be different, better, healthier, have more money in the bank. That’s powerful! Hypnosis helped me change my mind better than simple decision or willpower ever did.
Imagine this… Many, many people go to their graves without claiming that level of power in their own lives. My mother (and her mother before her) both died of cancer while still smoking. They both tried to quit but the addiction was strong, there was no aid in helping them change their lives. It’s tragic.
Most of us grow up in a bad environment for positivity, accomplishment, inspiration, motivation and self control. It is not our fault – and it’s not the fault of our parents, our teachers or anyone else, really. It is our system, we’re caught up in the “way we’ve always done things” which was made up as our ancestors went along.
In school we learn of places, dates, people and things that will never help us in our every day life – while dealing with money, working at things we love, how to set and achieve goals, how to be self reliant, that we can and should choose to be happy and other beautiful things all kind of never get taught to us.
Thankfully some self help material, some motivational speakers and some inspirational hypnosis came into my life and helped me slow the momentum of all the negativity, depression, self doubt and other mental blocks I had and started building fresh new thoughts and ideas of inspiration, possibility, joy, peace, personal power and more.
Life is to be enjoyed. It is truly a beautiful and incredible gift that defies explanation – even those of us struggling in 2013 have it better than Kings of ancient times. We can fly from here to there – drive our own vehicles to any destination of our choice. See and talk to people many miles away in real time – this is an amazing time to be alive. But yet, many of us are bored, spoiled, indifferent, “whatever”.
We have unrealistic expectations because we’re so distracted by “things” instead of focusing on life happening in the present moment. But we can change all this – we can have joy, inspiration, beauty as part of our every day experience when we change the things we focus on and when we shift the balance of things floating around in our heads.
Books, audio programs, hypnosis, psychology, videos are all tools we can use regularly to literally change our lives… Provided we have the desire and will to make that change while understanding it is our responsibility and there is no one (including ourselves) to blame. Look forward with hopeful anticipation and in the present moment at the things you are thinking, saying and doing.
I can recommend many, many great works that have helped me change the direction of my life. Literally shifting the momentum from negativity and self destruction to positivity, joy and rebuilding.
Don’t misunderstand – this isn’t “pie in the sky” stuff I’m talking about – I am still ME – I like the same kinds of music, food, etc.. many of my likes and dislikes are exactly the same – BUT, I’m happy with me – I have a much better understanding of myself, my relationships, the world around me and my place in all of that. So by changing you won’t become some freaky weirdo your friends won’t like or recognize – it’s not like that.
I love hypnosis. I think it’s a great tool. Not only does it provide a great relaxation time but the messages are targeted toward all the things you want to change, specifically. You get to relax deeply, hear good, useful information and it starts breaking down all those glaciers of bad stuff that have been holding you down… while at the same time building up new areas that give you power, strength and control in your life.
I first encountered hypnosis locally before the internet. It was costly but it genuinely helped me. Not like a magic pill – if I decided in advance it was a useless waste of time it probably wouldn’t have done anything.
In about a half hour I got a dose of information I needed, I was relaxed, calm and focused. Thankfully the hypnotist told me it needed to be worked in over multiple sessions to be most effective.. kind of like exercise. Because I wasn’t magically 100% different after that one half hour. Which I think a lot of people kind of expect. It’s not like that.
Even having to put in multiple sessions, it’s probably the easiest, most enjoyable tool in my self improvement, life changing arsenal. Now that the internet exists I have found a source for much more affordable and effective inspirational hypnosis / self help, etc sessions that are downloadable on MP3 that I can use over and over again for the rest of my life by paying only 1 very fair price to own each session. Things sure have changed!
I still watch videos, listen to audio programs by my favorite non-fiction authors and speakers, read books related to things I want to improve and I probably always will — I find it a much more enjoyable way to spend my time then watching the “news” and things like that. But my self-hypnosis sessions are MY time. I get to sit or lie down comfortably, take in the good stuff and keep building myself up in the easiest way possible.
It’s incredible – back when I first got hypnotized – if memory serves, I think the guy could do about a dozen different sessions.. My internet source has over 800 available!! Every little thing I can ever want to improve, eliminate or just feel better is right there.. Seems crazy right? I mean how can there even BE over 800 different things – but I bet you’ll find some familiar ground to cover when you browse the list. Or just search for something that first comes to your mind…
